Grass fire 100 percent contained in Brentwood

More than 60 firefighters responded to the Albers fire near Deer Valley Road.

BRENTWOOD, CA – A vegetation fire that broke out in an unincorporated area of ​​Brentwood on Friday was contained by 1 p.m., a fire official told Patch.

The Albers fire was reported shortly before 11 a.m. at 124 Albers Court at Deer Valley Road near Marsh Creek Road and the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District quickly activated a third alarm for more resources.

With air support from Cal Fire and a response from more than 60 firefighters, the 50-acre blaze was stopped, Con Fire spokesman Chris Toler said.
