GASSON, DOROTHY JEAN Dorothy Jean Gasson passed away on May 12, 2011 after a short illness, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born on September 4, 1927 to John and Virgil Fiessinger in Springfield, Ohio. After graduating from Wittenberg College, she worked as an elementary school teacher. On June 10, 1950, she married the love of her life and husband of 52 years, Cletus A. Gasson (predeceased in 2002). Jean and Clete had three children Judith Cheryl, Patricia Anne and William Joseph and Jean devoted herself to caring for her family. She excelled in cooking, decorating, gardening and volunteering. She greatly enjoyed her hobbies of golf and later boating. Over the years they settled in Columbus, Ohio and the Denver area until retiring to Port Ludlow Washington and then to Sun City West Arizona; she moved to the Los Angeles area in 2008. They had many friends in all the places they lived and they stayed in touch with them over the decades. Jean is remembered for her sense of humor, strength and style. She lives on in the hearts of her three children and their spouses, as well as eight grandchildren.
