1st Annual Community Celebration in Lynn

LYNN — This Saturday, Cook Street Park will witness quite the celebration as the first Cook St. Park Community Fiesta gets underway.

The celebration, organized by Ward Councilor Obed Matul, United Nations Community Development Corporation and Kingdom Basketball, will include youth basketball events, youth soccer activities, a fire truck, face painting, K-9 dog show, gardening tips, health tips, food, and more.

The first annual celebration starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 3 p.m

    Sidnee Short is Item’s Lynn reporter. She graduated from Boise State University with a bachelor’s degree in media arts with an emphasis in journalism and media studies. Originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota, she returned home after college to write for the area’s local newspaper, The Black Hills Pioneer. Sidnee moved to Massachusetts in September 2023. In her spare time she enjoys going to concerts, reading, crocheting and going to the movies.
