Millie DiFilippo Obituary – Norristown, PA (1920-2015)

Millie DiFilippo of Norristown Millie R. DiFilippo, 94, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Regina Nursing Center, Norristown, Pennsylvania. Born November 14, 1920 in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Marietta (Spadaccini) Verruni, and wife of the late Nicholas G. DiFilippo. Millie attended Norristown High School and soon after worked at the Quarter Master Depo during the war. She was the owner of Mr. “D’s” Restaurant, and during that time she also attended the Modernella Beauty Culture College of Philadelphia in 1938. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all and she will be dearly missed. . Survivors include one daughter; Helena (John) Pergine, of Plymouth Meeting. A son; Nicholas P. DiFilippo, of West Norriton. Two grandchildren; Nicole (Sean) McCabe, from East Norriton, and John (Chrissy) Pergine, from Limerick. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1100 W. Marshall St. Ntn., PA, from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. Mass will follow at 10:30 am. The funeral will take place privately, in consultation with the family.
